Prices in Ukraine (Domestic Market)
Average Retail Prices (December–July 2025)
According to the Ministry of Finance, the average price of sunflower oil in Ukraine in July 2025 was UAH 81.02 per liter. In different regions, prices varied: Vinnytsia region – UAH 82.04/l; Dnipropetrovsk region – approximately UAH 79.98/l; Kyiv – around UAH 89.69/l .
From January 2023 (~UAH 70.29/l) to July 2025 (~UAH 81.02/l), prices increased by approximately 15–20 % .
Purchase Prices for Processors
As of July 2025, plant-level (EXW) purchase prices ranged between UAH 25,500–26,300 per ton (i.e. UAH 25.5–26.3 per kg) .
Export Prices (International Level and Ports)
Exchange and World Prices
On global exchanges, as of 25 August 2025, the price of one ton of sunflower oil stood at about USD 1,350.80/t (equivalent to approximately UAH 55,766.3/t) .
Futures prices recently climbed above USD 1,310/t, recovering from a low of USD 1,133.70/t in early July .
Port and Export Prices
According to Tridge, export prices were between USD 0.74–1.56 per kg (~USD 740–1,560/t) in 2023, and USD 0.70–1.42 per kg (~USD 700–1,420/t) in 2024 .
In July 2025, domestic purchase prices (FCA plant) rose to USD 1,165–1,200/t, while maximum export (port) prices did not exceed USD 1,150–1,160/t .
General Export Trends
Ukraine remains a leading exporter of sunflower oil: in the 2024/25 season exports totaled around 5 million tons; during the first 11 months, 464,000 tons worth USD 537.9 million were exported .
In September 2024, the FOB price was USD 920/t; in November 2024, it increased to USD 1,130–1,150/t .
Total export revenue for sunflower oil in 2024 reached USD 5.12 billion—about 2 % higher than in 2023 .
However, in 2025, exports declined: in the first quarter, they reached 2.4 million tons, which is 24 % less than during the same period in 2024 .
